2014 Message to Muslims from the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue to mark the end of Ramadan (Id al-Fitr). Entitled Towards a Genuine Fraternity between Christians and Muslims, it is intended to be shared with Muslims or those working in interfaith conversations.
The celebration of Id al-Fitr started this year on or about June 28 and will continue for 30 days until or about July 27, 2014.

Founded in 1920 by the Bishops of the USA, CNS is an “editorially independent and a financially self-sustaining division” of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. CNS has kindly given permission to the CCCB to circulate the attached text and the following link to Bishops and Catholic communications offices in Canada.
The address by the Holy Father at the conclusion of the human trafficking conference is found on the Vatican website. To date it is available only in English as well as Italian.

The Commission for Doctrine with the approval of the Permanent Council has issued the reflection, “Jesus and Salvation” / “Jésus et le salut”. Although its subtitle refers to a “Lenten reflection”, the release of this text is well timed for reading and meditation during Holy Week and throughout the Easter Season. The project corresponds directly to one of the Commission’s priorities following the 2012 Plenary Assembly, namely to provide a reflection on Jesus Christ as Saviour. The intended readership includes clergy, religious and pastoral workers, and others with theological formation and interest.
